MailSnitch
Tag your emails to see who’s selling it
About
MailSnitch is a Chrome extension designed to help users identify the source of unwanted spam by implementing automated email tagging. It generates unique 'Snitch-Mails' (e.g., name+website001@gmail.com) for each website a user signs up for. This allows users to track exactly where their email address was used and subsequently sold or leaked if they receive spam to a specific tagged address. Key features include one-click auto-tagging based on the current website, a history of all used Snitch-Mails with export options (CSV, text, email), and automatic form filling. It supports major email providers like Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail, Mailfence, and ProtonMail (partial). Additionally, it offers a 'Catch-All Mode' for users with custom domains, which creates tags without the '+' symbol to prevent stripping by some data brokers. The extension is advertised as free forever, with no accounts, paywalls, or tracking.
